MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN

UNIVERSITY OF ZADAR, REPUBLTC OF CROATIA

AND

UNIVERSITY OF GJAKOVA'FEHMI AGANI", REPUBLIC OF KOSOVO

THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into force on the day of signing by both parties, by theUniversity of Zadar hereinafter referred to as "UZ", Republic of Croatia and University ofGjakova "Fehrni Agani", Republic of Kosovo, hereinafter referred to as "UGJFA".

The two institutions wish to expand scholarly ties and promote closer academic collaborationand therefore agree as follows:

Both institutions are united by common interests and objectives in educational

exchange, and they wish to maintain and promote channels of communication thatpermit those mutual exchanges.

This agreement will govern the general framework of academic exchanges between UZ

and UGJFA. lndividual working agreements, should they arise, will be executed forspecific projects under this Agreement.

The individual working agreement(s) referred to in paragraph 2 may be developed for,

but need not be limited to, the exchange of faculty and students.

Each institution will be responsible for the travel coasts of its own faculty or officialsinvolved in mutual exchange activities under this agreement.Each institution will take action to make the substance of this Memorandum ofUnderstanding known to its appropriate personnel, and will provide normal and

reasonable assistance such personnel in regard to the administrative details ofexchanges and work agreements.

6. Each institution will appoint a liaison. The liaison will, together, be responsible fortracking cooperative efforts, facilitating mutual assistance, and making an annual reportto the both institutions of the previous year's joint activities and initiatives in progress

for the next year.

7. This Memorandum of Understanding may be modified or extended by written consentof both parties as provided by its officially authorized representatives.

8. This Memorandum of Understanding will become effective on date above and remaineffective for five years from that date. lt may be renewed for additional term of fiveyears by an exchange of letters between the Rector of University of Zadar and theRector of University of Gjakova "Fehmi Agani".

9. This Agreement does not oblige either UGJFA or IJZ to take any financial expenditure orother contractual obligations.

1-0. The assignment of this agreement to any other party or parties is expressly prohibitedexcept with the written concurrence by the appropriate authorities of both UZ andUGJFA.

11. The English version of this agreement shall be authoritative version of the agreementfor all purposes. ln the event of a conflict between the English version and any

translation of this agreement, the English version shall control.L2. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement of the parties: and any future

agreement, understanding, or a waiver, to be binding upon the parties must be reducedto writing signed by the parties
