RECESSIONAL HYMN ANIMA CHRISTI

2. Strength and protection may thy Passion be; O blessèd Jesus, hear and answer me; Deep in thy wounds, Lord, hide and shelter me; So shall I never, never part from thee. 3. Guard and defend me from the foe malign; In death's dread moments make me only thine; Call me, and bid me come to thee on high, When I may praise thee with thy saints for aye.

ORDER OF MASS

At the Solemn Mass, the Cathedral Choir sings Mass in Honour of St Mary McKillop DAVID DRURY

At the 12:00pm Mass, the Schola sings Mass of St Dominic MATTHEW MARTIN

PROCESSIONAL HYMN PICARDY

INTROIT PLAINSONG

Misereris omnium, Domine, et nihil odisti eorum quæ fecisti, dissimulans peccata hominum propter pænitentiam, et parcens illis: quia tu es Dominus Deus noster

Lord, you are merciful to all and hate nothing which you have made; you overlook men’s sins so that they can repent, and spare them, for you are the Lord our God.

The 10:00am Solemn Mass is sung by the Cathedral Choir. The 12:00pm Mass is sung by the Cathedral Schola.

2. King of kings, yet born of Mary, As of old on earth He stood, Lord of lords, in human vesture, In the body and the blood; He will give to all the faithful His own self for heavenly food.

3. Rank on rank the host of heaven Spreads its vanguard on the way, As the Light of light descendeth From the realms of endless day, Comes the powers of hell to vanquish As the darkness clears away.

4. At His feet the six winged seraph, Cherubim with sleepless eye, Veil their faces to the presence, As with ceaseless voice they cry: Alleluia, Alleluia Alleluia, Lord Most High!

2. O let it freely burn, Till earthly passions turn To dust and ashes in its heat consuming; And let thy glorious light Shine ever on my sight, And clothe me round, the while my path illuming. 3. Let holy charity Mine outward vesture be, And lowliness become mine inner clothing; True lowliness of heart, Which takes the humbler part, And o'er its own shortcomings weeps with loathing. 4. And so the yearning strong, With which the soul will long, Shall far outpass the power of human telling; For none can guess its grace, Till he become the place Wherein the Holy Spirit makes his dwelling.
