Water flow controllers and temperature control-lers have established WITTMANN’s good repu-tation. Today, they are essential for the plastics processing industry. At the Fakuma 2017, WITT- MANN presents the current highlight of the company’s long-time development work.Zdravko Gavran

The important question ofenergy consumption

With the introduction of the new R9 robot control system, WITTMANNimpressively demonstrates the potential which can be realized by the useof latest hardware and software technologies in the form of increasedefficiency and operational safety. A significant functionality which hasthus become possible is the digital robot twin, which is now availableas standard with the R9 control system and enables virtual validationof the sequences to be carried out by the robot at any time – and conse- quently without any risk for the processing machine or the robot.Martin Stammhammer

In 2014, Laurent Lacharme founded 3A Plastics in the Vercors Regional Nature Park in La Baume-d’Hostun in France. Since its creation, the 3A Plastics company has relied on a fully automated installation for greater comfort and safety. In particular it has installed injection molding machines, robots and peripheral equipment from the WITTMANN Group. We met Laurent Lacharme to discuss his central material handling system that was installed at the end of 2014.Julie Filliere
