Message from the Southeast Chair Best of greetings from the chair. Hope you all had a great summer

and are ready for the fall with the changing color of leaves and

welcoming some cooler and better sleeping weather.

I hope you all enjoyed the excellent presentation at the October

meeting in Memphis by Craig Bonda on compounds, compositions

and methods related to photostability and photoprotection of

sunscreen agents. Craig has been awarded more than 50 patents and

after his retirement from HallStar, has started his own consulting

The Southeast Chapter Officer Installation will be November 18th at

Bari Restaurant, 22 S. Cooper Street, Memphis, TN.

In preparation for Officer Installation, all voting members should

have received their ballots in the mail. Please take a minute to cast

NEW DATE FOR 2016 IFSCC CONGRESS

The US Society of Cosmetic Chemists has announced new dates for 2016 IFSCC Congress in Orlando,

Florida. The 29th IFSCC Congress will now be held from 30 October-2 November 2016 (rather than 23-

26 October). The good news is that the organizers can offer significantly reduced room rates at the

world class Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort!

There is also a revised Call for Papers deadline. The new deadline is 31 December 2015.

The US SCC urges everyone interested in being a participant in the Congress to submit an abstract by

the revised deadline for consideration.

Of course, we also encourage our entire community to save the date (30 October - 2 November 2016)

and plan on attending the 29th Congress.
