ÏÏ -��¨ÂÂìì¦¦óó¦�¦�¨°°��ÇÇ 49 ÏÏ -��¾¾��ììÈÈ?ÈÈ²²��mutual consentof both of themand consultation,then noblameon both of them.

�� And ifyou wantto ask another women to suckleyour childthen (there is) no blame

�� on you,whenyou paywhat(is) due (from) youin a fair manner.And fear Allah

�� and knowthatAllahof whatyou do(is) All-Seer.233And those who

�pass awayamong youand leave behindwives,(the widows) should wait for themselves

��(for) fourmonthsand ten (days).Then whenthey reachtheir (specified) term,

�� then (there is) noblameupon youfor whatthey doconcerning themselves

��in a fair manner.And Allahof whatyou do(is) All-Aware.234And (there is) no

�� blameupon youin whatyou hint[with it] ofmarriage proposal[to] the women

�� oryou concealed itinyourselves.Allah knowsthat youwill mention them,

�� [and] but(do) notpromise them (widows)secretlyexceptthatyou saya saying

�� honorable.And (do) notresolve (on)[the] marriage knotuntilreaches

��the prescribed termits end.And knowthatAllahknowswhat(is) within

��yourselvesso beware of Him.And knowthatAllah(is) Most Forgiving,

��Most Forbearing.235(There is) noblameupon youifyou divorce

mutual consent andconsultation, then thereis no blame on both ofthem. And if you desire awet-nurse for your childthen there is no sin onyou, when you pay whatis due from you in a fairmanner. And fear Allahand know that Allah isAll-Seer of what you do.

234. And those of you whodie and leave wivesbehind them, the widowsshould wait (as regardstheir remarriage) for fourmonths and ten days.And when they completetheir specified term, thenthere is no blame on youfor what the widows dofor themselves in a fairmanner. And Allah isAll-Aware of what youdo.

235. And there is no blameon you if you hintconcerning a marriageproposal to the womenor conceal it in yourhearts. Allah knows thatyou will mention them,but do not make a secretpromise with them(widows) except that youspeak an honorablesaying. And do notresolve on the marriageknot until the prescribedterm reaches its end. Andknow that Allah knowswhat is within yourhearts, so beware ofHim. And know thatAllah is Most Forgiving,Most Forbearing.

236. There is no blameupon you if youdivorce women


ÏÏ -��¨ÂÂìì¦¦óó¦�¦�¨°°��ÇÇ 50 ÏÏ -��¾¾��ìì��ÇÇ��

[the] womenwhomyou have not touchednoryou specifiedfor them

�� an obligation (dower).And make provision for them -uponthe wealthy

� ��according to his meansand upon the pooraccording to his means -a provision

��in a fair mannera dutyuponthe good-doers.236And ifyou divorce them

� ��before[that]you (have) touched themwhile alreadyyou have specifiedfor them

��an obligation (dower),then (give) half(of) whatyou have specified,unless[that]

��they (women) forgo (it)orforgoesthe onein whose hands(is the) knot

��of [the] marriage.And [that]you forgo,(is) nearerto [the] righteousness.And (do) not

forgetthe graciousnessamong you.Indeed,Allahof whatyou do

��(is) All-Seer.237Guard strictly[on]the prayers,and the prayer -[the] middle,

��and stand upfor Allahdevoutly obedient.238And ifyou fear

��then (pray) on footorriding.Then whenyou are securethen rememberAllah

�asHe (has) taught youwhatyou were notknowing.239

��And those whothey dieamong youand leave behindtheir wives

��(should make) a willfor their wivesmaintenanceforthe yearwithout


whom you have nottouched nor specifiedfor them an obligation(Mahr). And makeprovision for them -the wealthy accordingto his means and thepoor according to hismeans - in a fairmanner, a duty uponthe good-doers.

237. And if you divorcethem before you havetouched them whilealready you havespecified for them anobligation (dower),then give half of whatyou have specified,unless they (thewomen) forgo it or theone in whose hand isthe marriage knotforgoes it. And if youforgo, it is nearer torighteousness. And donot forget thegraciousness amongyou. Indeed, Allah isAll-Seer of what youdo.

238. Guard strictly theprayers, and(especially) the middleprayer, and stand upbefore Allah devoutlyobedient.

239. And if you fear,then pray on foot orwhile riding. But whenyou are secure, thenremember Allah, asHe has taught you thatwhich you did notknow.

240. And those who dieamong you and leavetheir wives behind,should make a will fortheir wives - provisionfor a year without



driving (them) out.But ifthey leavethen noblameupon youinwhat

��they doconcerningthemselves[of]honorably.And Allah(is) All-Mighty,

��All-Wise.240And for the divorced women,(is) a maintenancein a fair manner -

�� a dutyuponthe righteous.241ThusAllah makes clearfor you

�� His Versesso that you(may) use your intellect.242Did you not see[to]

��those whowent outfromtheir homesand they(were in) thousands(in) fear

��(of) [the] death?Then saidto themAllah,`Die`;thenHe restored them to life.

Indeed, Allah(is) surely Possessor of bountyfor[the] mankind[and] but

��most(of) the people(are) not grateful.243And fightin

��the wayof Allah,and knowthatAllah(is) All-Hearing,All-Knowing.244

�� Who(is) the one (who)will lendto Allah -a loangood,so (that) He multiplies it

��for him -manifoldsAnd Allahwithholdsand grants abundance,

�� and to Himyou will be returned.245Did you not see[towards]the chiefsof

�� the Childrenof IsraelafterMusa,whenthey saidto a Prophet of theirs,

��`Appointfor usa king,we may fightinthe wayof Allah?`He said,`Would


driving (them) out. Butif they leave (on theirown) then there is noblame upon youconcerning what theydo with themselveshonorably. And Allahis All-Mighty, All-Wise.

241. And for divorcedwomen is a reasonableprovision - a duty uponthe righteous.

242. Thus Allah makesclear His Verses foryou, so that you mayuse your reason.

243. Are you not awareof those who left theirhomes in thousandsfearing death? ThenAllah said to them,`Die`; then He restoredthem to life. Indeed,Allah is full of bountyto mankind, but mostof them are ungrateful.

244. And fight in theway of Allah, andknow that Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

245. Who is the onethat will lend to Allaha goodly loan (of nobledeeds), so that Hemultiplies it for himmanifolds? And Allahwithholds and grantsabundance, and to Himyou will be returned.

246. Are you not awareof the chiefs of theChildren of Israel afterMusa when they saidto their Prophet,`Appoint for us a kingso that we may fight inthe way of Allah?` He(the Prophet) said,`Would



you perhaps -ifprescribedupon you[the] fighting,that notyou fight?`

��They said,And whatfor usthat notwe fightinthe wayof Allahwhile surely

��we have been driven outfromour homesand our children?`Yet, when

��was prescribedupon them[the] fightingthey turned away,except

��a fewamong them.And Allah(is) All-Knowingof the wrongdoers.

��246And saidto themtheir Prophet,Indeed,

��Allah(has) surelyraisedfor youTalut

�� (as) a king.`They said,How can befor himthe kingship

��over us,while we(are) more entitledto kingshipthan him,

� ��and he has not been givenabundanceof[the] wealth?`

��He said,Indeed,Allahhas chosen himover you

��and increased himabundantlyin[the] knowledge

��and [the] physique.And AllahgivesHis kingdom

(to) whomHe wills.And Allah(is) All-Encompassing,

��All-Knowing.`247And saidto themtheir Prophet,


you perhapsrefrain fromfighting if i t wasprescribed uponyou? They said,Why should we

not fight in theway of Allah,veri ly we havebeen driven outfrom our homesand our children?`So when fightingwas prescribedupon them theyturned away excepta few among them.And Allah isAware of thewrongdoers.

247. And theirProphet said tothem, IndeedAllah hasappointed for youTalut as king.`They said, Howcan he havekingship over uswhile we are moreenti t led tokingship than him,and he has notbeen givenabundant wealth?`He ( the Prophet)said, Al lah haschosen him overyou and hasincreased himabundantly inknowledge andphysique. AndAllah gives Hiskingdom to whomHe wil ls . AndAllah is All-Encompassing,All-Knowing.`

248. And theirProphet said tothem,



Indeed,a sign(of) his kingship(is) that

��will come to youthe ark,in it(is) a tranquility

��fromyour Lord,and a remnantof what(was) left

��(by) the familyof Musaand familyof Harunwill carry [it]

��the Angels.Indeed,inthat(is) surely a sign

��for youifyou arebelievers.`248

��Then whenset outTalutwith the forces

��he said,Indeed,Allahwill test you

��with a river.So whoeverdrinksfrom itthen (he is) not

��from me,and whoever(does) nottaste itthen indeed, he

��(is) from meexceptwhoevertakes(in) the hollow

�(of) his hand.`Then they drankfrom itexcept

a fewof them.Then whenhe crossed it

and those whobelievedwith him,they said,

��Nostrengthfor ustodayagainst Jalut

and his troops.`Saidthose whowere certain

��that they(would) meetAllah,How manyof

� �� a small companyovercamea large companywith the permission

��of Allah.And Allah(is) withthe patient ones.`

��249And whenthey went forthto (face) Jalutand his troops

��they said,Our Lord!Pouron uspatience

��and make firmour feet,and help usagainst

� ��the disbelieving people.`250So they defeated themby the permission

�� of Allah,and killedDawoodJalut,and Allah gave him

��the kingdomand the wisdomand taught himthat which

�� He willed.And if not(for) Allah s repelling[the] people -some of them

�� with others,certainly the earth (would have been) corrupted,[and] butAllah

� ��(is) Possessor of bountytothe worlds.251These

��(are) the Versesof Allah,We recite themto youin [the] truth.

��And indeed, you(are) surely ofthe Messengers.252


and his troops.`But those who werecertain that theywould meet Allahsaid, How often byAllah s permissionhas a smallcompany overcomea large company.And Allah is withthose who arepatient.`

250. And when theywent forth to (face)Jalut and histroops, they said,Our Lord! Pour

patience on us andmake firm our feetand help us againstthe disbelievingpeople.`

251. So theydefeated them bythe permission ofAllah and Dawoodkilled Jalut, andAllah gave him thekingdom and thewisdom and taughthim that which Hewilled. And if Allahhad not repelledsome of the peopleby some others, theearth would havebeen corrupted, butAllah is Full ofbounty to theworlds.

252. These are theVerses of Allah Werecite to you intruth. And indeed,you are surely ofthe Messengers.
