The participation of other stake holders is also solicited to make the exercise inclusive and transparent. The Cluster Heads, the Principals, the Zonal Education Officers and the Headmasters are as such required to work-out details regarding requirement of staff at schools, having regard to the formula of 5, 8 and 10 teachers/masters for Primary, Middle and High Schools respectively and also identify gaps in the requirement of subject-expert teachers so that the exercise is carried-out in an efficacious manner. The lecturers/masters/teachers who are desirous of getting themselves transferred-out shall be required to submit an application, on the devised format given below, and the teaching personnel having mature stay but don’t put in their applications shall be transferred out suo moto. "In connection with Inter- national Waterbird census and Asian Waterbird census 2016, the Department of Wild- life Protection organised a two-day programme at Hok- ersar which began today," an official spokesman said. The programme saw par- ticipants including students, NGOs and Wildlife SOS, the spokesman said. "The department is organising this event in all the important wetlands which include Hokersar, Shallabugh, Wullar, Dal, Anchar, Haigam and Chat- tlum," Chief Wildlife Warden Deepak Khanna said. "This event is called the Asian waterbird census which is part of a global water bird programme, the International waterbird census coordinated by Wetlands International Netherlands," Khanna said. Prior to the exercise, an orientation session for the participants was held at Hok- ersar where they were given first-hand knowledge of the methodology to be adopted in counting the birds. Anantnag woman set on fire Srinagar, Feb 16: A woman was allegedly set on fire by her in-laws in Anantnag district of south Kashmir, police said today. The victim's father Abdul Rashid Ganaie, approached the police along with his injured daughter Tanveera and reported that she was set on fire by her in-laws at Hazratbal. As per the medical report, the woman has sustained 15 per cent burn injuries and is being treated in District Hospi- tal Anantnag, the spokes- man said. He said police has regis- tered a case and investiga- tion is on.
