ACHIEVING SUCCESS
consider the global impact
DON’T FORGET TO LOOK BACK AFTER YOU COMPLETE THE PROJECT
YESTERDAY YOU SAID TOMORROW…
Checklist • Communication - Know your audience
• Talk to your audience so you understand the challenges • If you are out of touch, you won't know what needs to be fixed
• Project scope - What do you want to Achieve • What are the main objectives • What really matters to the firm
• Get Buy In • Senior management needs to understand what you are trying to accomplish • Once you identify solutions, you can provide budget and timeline information
• Look at multiple solutions • Even if you think you have a good first choice, it is wise to evaluate your
options • Vendor Assistance
• Evaluate vendors while looking at solutions • Don't limit yourself to manufacturer, there are many capable consultants
• Pre-requisites • There is ALWAYS something else to be done • Are there any other systems that need to be upgraded first
• Technical training • Ger your tech staff trained before the deployment • They will better understand how things are configured.
• Test Test Test • Train Train Train • You can test too long - some time you just need to roll it out • Always review your project after rollout to see if any adjustments need to be made
