2014The Winter & Spring 2014 semester includes 13 class sessions and a CELEBRATION PERFORMANCE & EXHIBITION on April 11, 2014 to share with family, friends and the public!
A limited number of scholarships are available for up to 50% of tuition.
Student artists may register for one course or up to seven courses with a supervised lunch also available. Class size is 7-12 students for most courses to provide a productive small group learning environment with individual support.
Courses will be taught in music, theatre, visual arts, cooking and language by licensed, certified teachers, professional artists, and other instructors in the field with extension ideas for parents to continue the learning beyond the Friday session. For preschoolers (age 3-5), several classes are offered for parent and child to attend together.

A writing circle brings writers from different walks of life together, in one place to discuss and share their work. Writers will be able to give feedback, hear suggestions from fellow writers, and guide the format of the group to meet individual needs. Open to all genres of writing…creative prose, poetry, etc. The Writing Circle provides a beautiful meeting place, initial facilitation, advertising for members, and potential resources the participants may decide upon such as guest speakers, handbook, etc. Write on! SANGRE DE CRISTO BALLET The company is a community-based pre-professional youth company. The company consists of students, community members, and guests. The company offers original per-formances in classical, contemporary, and modern dance. The student criteria for becoming a Sangre de Cristo Ballet member is to achieve ballet level four or higher, to be enrolled in and actively attend all classes offered at that particular level, to be willing to attend all scheduled rehearsals, and to prioritize Sangre de Cristo Ballet’s activities over other extracurricular engagements. Once a student has agreed to and fulfilled all of the above criteria, they are given the opportunity to join the ranks of Sangre de Cristo Ballet based on their commitment and work ethic. The Sangre de Cristo Ballet guest and community member criteria are based on production needs.

Kim’s painting class will stress the fundamentals of color, de-sign, anatomy and draftsmanship, and develop the students’ imagination and technique. Student artists will have the op-portunity to work from the figure, still life, and landscapes. They will also be exposed to successful contemporary painters as well as masters such as Sorolla, Payne, Sargent, and Fechin. Each student artist will receive individual quality instruction and critique. Students should have a rudimentary knowledge of painting to attend the class. ENROLLMENT: Where possible, class enrollment limitations are included in course descriptions. The Arts Center reserves the right of cancelling classes which do not meet minimum enrollment.
HOLIDAY/CANCELLATIONS: Classes will not meet on major holidays, unless students are notified otherwise. Make-up classes are the responsibility of the instructor and student. Please, no walk-ins.
SCHOLARSHIPS: A limited number of Blanche Lapin and Ruth DePalma, Jack Williams, Wal-Mart, El Pomar Foundation’s Karl E. Eitel Fund, and Arts Associ-ates scholarships are available for up to half tuition costs. Scholarship forms must be filled-out completely and returned to the Arts Center one week prior to the beginning of class. Forms are available at the Welcome Center or online at www.SangredeCristoArts.org/education.
NO REFUND AFTER FIRST CLASS SESSION. Registered students in classes can-celled due to less than minimum enrollment may transfer to another class or be reimbursed for the full tuition.
