Meaning of Swamp

Swamp is an area of low-lying, uncultivated ground where water is collected.

Swamp is an area of low-lying well or seasonally flooded land, often having tress and dense shrubs or thickets.

Symbolism means

Symbolism is the use of symbols to signify ideas and qualities by giving them symbolic meanings that are different from – their literal sense and has much deeper meaning.

Symbolism in the play is an important avenue for the expression of playwrights views on the Nigerian society.

Nigeria faced internal wars,

environment degradation,

political marginalization,

social enslavement and endemic poverty.
