Program Design
Format:
One-on-one - On-site coaching AT the agency
Volunteers schedule coaching session(s) each month at mutually convenient times during the work day.
Time commitment:
4 month Semesters – Fall & Spring
Partnership for 1 to 4 months; 1 hour minimum each month
Can adjust partnership monthly
Process:
Agency staff enter their coaching needs at start of the semester via Volunteer Link
Volunteer coaches select partner from list of opportunities on Volunteer Link
Primary coaching focus is business tools that corporations use in day-to-day operations:
• Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Windows navigation
• SharePoint: calendar sharing, document sharing
Process elements to Highlight
Semester will last for 4 months
Make your one hour per month a priority –not an “if I can fit it in”
Start right away -Contact your partner and respond to him/her/ them!
One-on-one and in person.
(No phone call sessions)
You are not the “go-to-IT-guy”; NPO Agencies have Managed Services contracts
