Comment from Members• At the last meeting Janice Jackson was asked to find someone by the unusual name of Bilyard. In the afternoon she looked again & found someone had put the tree on Ancestry.

• Frances Houghton had a similar issue with an Australian lady, but we don't know if she was just visiting or living here.

• Attaching photos to a diagram: pros and cons of embedding versus linking. If linking, how best to keep photos and GED file together?

• Sending diagram to be printed:  Where, how  and in what format (what does it cost)?

• Splitting a branch from the Family Tree (if time permits)

Answering the Questions- Splitting off a Branch from the Family Tree

• Splitting off a Branch from the Tree is relatively easy. It enables one to send data on one area of the family without having to send the whole tree.

• Care must be taken when splitting a branch from the tree. If you inadvertently save the branch with the original family name, you will lose the tree data.
