A SHORT MESSAGE FROM THE WORD OF GOD

John 15:1-81 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

John 15:1-84 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

John 15:1-86 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

1, God desires for us to be very fruitful and

keep increasing in fruitfulness

2, Pruning is necessary for greater fruitfulness in our lives

3, One of the ways pruning (cleaning) happens

is by His Word

4, The key to fruitfulness is intimacy

"He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit;" (vs 5)

We abide in Him and He in us -as we believe and acknowledge (confess) who Jesus Christ is (1 John 4:15)as we walk in obedience to His commandments (1 John 3:6,24)as we walk in love (1 John 4:12,16)as we let His Word and Spirit dwell in us ( John 15:7; 1 John 3:24; 1 John 4:13)

5, Asking is connected to expressing fruitfulness

As we look ahead to an exciting 2018, let us journey together into greater intimacy with the Lord and greater fruitfulness for His Kingdom.

Genuine intimacy will always produce greater fruitfulness resulting in the Father being

glorified.
