1969Robert Bosch Apparatebau GmbH is established, later to be renamed Bosch Packaging Technology.
1861Geiger & Hesser sets up shop. The com-pany came to be known as the cradle of German packaging machine engineering. It has been part of Syntegon since 1977.
1958Höfliger + Karg unveils the first automatic capsule filling machine. It is a predecessor of Bosch GKF units ranging all the way up to the GKF HiProTect. Höfliger + Karg joined Syntegon in 1970.
1975Eisai Machinery sells the first automatic inspection machines to detect particles in injection solutions. Eisai Machinery has been part of Syntegon since 2012.
1991Dispensing isolators are used for the first time on ampoule filling and sealing ma-chines. Syntegon customers have since deployed several hundred such isolators.
1911Hesser builds the first fully automatic packaging machine for coffee. This success story continues at Syntegon today.
2020Bosch Packaging Technology is now Syntegon.
2016The world’s first sealed paper packaging, developed in a joint effort with Billerud Korsnäs, debuts. This sustainable mono-material packaging solution contains no plastic com-ponents and is fully recyclable.
2015Reclosable Doy-Zip stand-up pouches are used for the first time on a vertical bagger. Since then, Syntegon has advanced the state of the art in this technology several times.
2014The linear motor technology for horizontal packaging machines replaces the chain conveyor, enabling reconfiguration to new formats at the touch of a button.
