The Zone Swimming Carnival Last'week,'15'of'our' talented'students'headed' to'Macquarie'Fields'Leisure' Centre' to' represent' Ingleburn' Public' School' at' the' Zone'Swimming' Carnival.' All' students' showed' a' remarkable' amount' of'dedication,' teamwork' and' sportsmanship' throughout' the' day' and'achieved' some' fantastic' results.' A' big' congratulations' to' the'following' students' who'made' the' finals' on' Thursday' night;' Sarah,'Jordan,'Cooper,'Mitchell,'Kevin,'Sophie'and'Cameron.'It'was'great'to'see' so' many' family' members' in' the' grandstand' supporting' the'students.'We' are' very' excited' to' announce' that' two'of' our' Year' 6'girls' have' been' successful' in' qualifying' to' compete' at' the' Area'Swimming'Carnival'to'represent'The'Fields'zone,'well'done'to'Jordan'who'will'compete'in'the'backstroke'and'Sarah'who'will'compete' in'breaststroke' and' butterfly,' a' wonderful' achievement' and' we' wish'you'both'the'very'best'of'luck.''

RAFT'stands'for'Role,'Audience,'Format'and'Topic.'The'role'we'were'given'was'that'of'a'Desert'Tortoise'writing'a'complaint' letter'to'humans.'This'week'the'spotlight'has'been'given'to'Arnav'from'Year'6.''''Dear'Citizens'of'the'Earth,'' I' hereby' am' disgusted' by' your' behaviour.' The' way' you,'mankind,' are' treating' us' cannot' be' tolerated.' I' am'writing' to' grab'your' attention' to' us' desert' tortoises.' Just' because' we' can’t' travel'fast'doesn’t'mean'you'can'treat'us'the'way'you'apparently'are.''
