INTRODUCTIONTo help raise the profile of National Tree Week organised by the UK TreeCouncil the Tevi Team organised a Tree Planting event at Enys Gardens,Penryn and invited 35 business representatives to participate in a hands ontree planting session. Participants were welcomed by the co-owner of Enysgardens and provided an update on Cornwall Council's Forest for Cornwallplan. A tree planting masterclass was delivered by Enys Gardens Head Gardenerintroducing the species of tree that would be planted and the reasonsthese were selected, as well as highlighting the challenges that gardensface in managing plant & tree diseases including Ash die-back,Phytophthora ramorum and Xylella.

IMPACT SUMMARYFor many of the participants this was the first time they had experiencedtree planting and many fed back that they found it a satisfying andrewarding experience. The opportunity to directly engage with environmental growth projectssuch as tree planting is expected to have a positive knock on effect forthe business community to take back and share with colleagues andstaff.
