1. Deploy Environment Introduction：

This operations process including three servers.

1. DC：

Role：ADDS + ADCS

OS：Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Edition RTM

IE : IE 11.0

IP : 192.168.0.100/24

DNS: 192.168.0.100

2. OpsMgr2016：

Role：SC2016 OpsMgr RTM + Database

OS：Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Edition RTM

IE : IE 11.0

IP : 192.168.0.101/24

DNS : 192.168.0.100

3. Console：

Role：Domain Member and SC2016 OpsMgr RTM Remote Console

OS：Windows 10 Enterprise Edition x64 Version 1607

IE : IE 11.0

IP : 192.168.0.200/24

DNS : 192.168.0.100

3. Deploy Active Directory：

1) Logon to DC server, installing ADDS and ADCS. Domain name is

Contoso.msft . Active Directory forest functional level is Windows Server 2016. This

process is no longer described in this part.

2) Create three Domain Users accounts：

4. Deploy SC2016 OpsMgr RTM Database：

1) System Center 2016 Operations Manager RTM requires access to an instance

of a server running at least Microsoft SQL Server 2014 SP2 or SQL Server 2016. This

instance can be located on a separate computer from the management servers in a

distributed installation or on the first management server in the management group.

2) Logon to OpsMgr2016 server, installing SQL Server 2016 enterprise edition.

3) In Feature Selection step when you install SQL Server phase , you need to

select Database Engine Services, Full-Text and Semantic Extractions for Search,

Reporting Services – Native：

4) In Server Configuration step , You need setting SQL Server Agent Startup

5) In Collation settings must be SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS :

to install.

7) Then you need to download and install SQL Server Management Studio

v16.5:

8) Then open the SQL Server Management Studio, you can see SQL Server

2016 RTM version is 13.0.1601.5:

9) After setup, don’t forget installing SQL Server 2016 CU2 (KB 3182270).

5. Installing SC2016 OpsMgr RTM requirement

Windows components：

1) Logon to OpsMgr2016 Server , open Server Manager，click Add Roles and

Features under the Manage：

2) The Add Roles and Features Wizard Before you begin dialog box appears,

click Next , the Select installation type dialog box appears :

5) When you select Web Server (IIS) option , the Add Roles and Features

8) Expand .NET Framework 4.6 Features node, select HTTP Activation :

11) Click Next , the Web Server Role (IIS) dialog box appears:

13) Choose Request Monitor, Windows Authentication, ASP.NET 3.5 and

IIS6 Metabase Compatibility :

14) Click Next , the Confirm installation selections dialog box appears :

15) Click Specify an alternate source path, insert Windows Server 2016

image, under the Path blank, type the server image path:

16) Click OK, make sure that all components have been selected to

completely , click Install , go to Installation progress phase:

17) Please wait some minutes，the Installation succeeded:

18) Click Close will back to the Server Manager, close it. The last you

need to install Microsoft Report Viewer 2015 tool.

6. Install SC2016 OpsMgr RTM Management Server：

1) Logon to OpsMgr2016 server. Insert SC2016 OpsMgr RTM image , auto-run

and display Operations Manager dialog box :

2) Click Install , the Select features to install dialog box appears :

3) Select Management server , Management console , Web console and

Reporting server features:

4) Click Next , the Select installation location dialog box appears :

5) Keep this location or enter in a new location , and click Next , the

Prerequisites dialog box appears :

6) On the Prerequisites page, review and resolve any warnings or errors, and

then click Verify prerequisites again to recheck the system. If the prerequisites

checker does not return any warnings or errors , the Proceed with Setup page

appears :

7) Click Next , the Specify an installation option dialog box appears :

8) Select Create the first management server in a new management group ,

type in a name for your management group :

9) Click Next , the Please read the license terms dialog box appears :

10) Select I have read , understood , and agree with the license terms

item , click Next , the Configure the operational database dialog box appears :

11) In the Server name and instance name box, type the name of the

server and the name of the SQL Server instance for the database server that will host

the operational database. If you installed SQL Server by using the default instance,

you only have to enter the server name. If you changed the default SQL Server port ,

you must type in the new port number in the SQL Server port box :

12) Click Next, the Configure the data warehouse database dialog box

appears:

13) In the Server name and instance name box, type the server name and

the name of the instance of SQL Server for the database server that will host the data

warehouse database. For the first management server installation, accept the default

value of Create a new data warehouse database:

14) Click Next, the SQL Server instance for reporting services dialog box

appears, select the SQL Server database instance from the drop-down list. This drop-

down list contains the SQL Server database instance name that was created when you

installed SQL Server 2014 SP2 or SQL Server 2016 and should be the name of the

server on which you are installing Operations Manager 2016:

15) Click Next, the Specify a web site for use with the Web console

dialog box appears:

16) Select Default Web Site or the name of an existing website. Select the

option Enable SSL only if the website has been configured to use SSL:

17) Click Next, the Select an authentication mode for use with the Web

console dialog box appears:

18) Select your option, and then click Next, the Configure Operations

Manager accounts dialog box appears:

19) Enter the credentials for a domain account in each field. The error icons

will disappear after account validation:

20) Click Next, the Diagnostic and Usage Data dialog box appears:

21) Select your options and click Next, the Microsoft Update dialog box

appears:

22) Select your option and then click Next, the Installation Summary

23) Review the options and click Install to start Installation progress

25) Unselect Start the Operations console when the wizard closes, and

click Close.

7. Verifying the Installation:

1) Logon to OpsMgr2016 server, click Windows Button, you can see Microsoft

System Center 2016 Operations Manager relate shortcuts:

2) Click Operations Console, the System Center 2016 Operations Manager

console will opening:

3) Click the Help, and then click About, you can see the System Center 2016

4) Click the Administration workspace, in Device Management node select

Management Servers. In the results pane, you should see the management server

that you just installed with a green check mark in the Health State column:

5) To confirm the health of operations manager reports, click the Reporting

workspace:

After initial deployment, it can take up to 30 minutes for reports to appear.

6) Click Application Advisor, you can see the Application Advisor website:

7) Click Application Diagnostics, you can see the Application Diagnostics

website:

8) Click Web Console, you will see the SC2016 OpsMgr RTM web console:

8. Installing SC2016 OpsMgr RTM Operations

Console：

1) Use Administrator logon to Console computer, install Microsoft System CLR

Types for SQL Server 2014 and Microsoft ReportViewer 2015 tools.

2) Insert SC2016 OpsMgr RTM image , will auto display :

3) Click Install , the Select features to install dialog box appears :

4) Only select Operations console :

5) Click Next , the Select installation location dialog box appears :

6) Accept the default value or type in a new location or browse to one , then click

Next , the Verifying that your environment has the required hardware and

software dialog box appears :

7) Wait a moment , the Proceed with Setup dialog box appears :

8) Confirm no errors and click Next , the Please read the license terms dialog

Next, the Diagnostic and Usage Data dialog box appears :

11) Select your needed option and then click Next , the Installation

12) Review the options and then click Install , the Installation progress

13) When setup is finished , the Setup is complete dialog box appears :

14) Unselect Start the Operations console when the wizard closes and

click Close. To open SC2016 OpsMgr RTM operations console , you can click

Windows Button and click Operations Console :

15) Display Connect To Server box , type SC2016 OpsMgr RTM

9. Installing SC2016 OpsMgr RTM Audit Collection

Services：

1) Logon to OpsMgr2016 Server, insert SC2016 OpsMgr RTM image , will auto-

run display the Operations Manager setup wizard :

Services Collector Setup Wizard dialog box appears :

10. Pushing SC2016 OpsMgr RTM Agent and

Enabling the ACS Forwarder：

1) Logon to OpsMgr2016 server , in System Center 2016 Operations Manager

RTM operations console , click the Monitoring workspace , under Required

Configuration Tasks , and then click Required : Configure computers and devices

to manage :

17) Mutil-Select managed computers and click Enable Audit Collection in

Tasks panel :

11. Deploy ACS Reporting：

1) Logon to OpsMgr2016 server , create a temporary folder , such as C:\ACS , on

your installation media , go to \ReportModels\acs and copy the directory contents

to this folder :

2) Open Windows PowerShell , run the following command :

3) Open Internet Explorer and enter the following address to view the SQL

Reporting Services Home page:
