Structural Dynamics Laboratory
The Structural Dynamics Laboratory provides facilities forresearch and teaching. It has a floor area of 177 m2. Acomprehensive range of modern testing equipment is availablefor dynamic testing in civil and structural engineering.A series of experiments related to earthquake and vibration arecarried out in this laboratory.
Our major equipment includes:
> 3m x 3m MTS Shaking-table
> MTS 810 Material Test System
> APS Long Stroke Shaker
> LDS Electro-magnetic Shakers
> B & K Accelerometers and Signal Conditioners
Introduction
The MTS810 Material Testing System facilitates a broadrange of testing capabilities for various static and dynamictesting.
MTS 810 Material Test System3m x 3m MTS Shake Table
A high performance Uniaxial shake table system with a 3meter x 3 meter rigid base platform. The shake tablesystem is able to assess seismic performance and safetyof structures, and is capable for high fidelity reproduction ofearthquake time histories.
Main Equipment
A permanent magnetelectrodynamic shaker forvibration testing of smallassemblies and electronics, fatigue and resonancetests, and modal andstructural analysis.
LDS Electro-magnetic ShakersAPS Long Stroke Shaker
The APS shaker is a long stroke, electrodynamicforce generator specifically designed to be usedalone or in arrays for studying dynamic responsecharacteristics of various structures. It is used inmodal excitation of complex structures, particularly when low frequencies are required. Itcan also be used for low frequency vibrationtesting of components and assemblies.
Main Equipment
B&K accelerometer is available for generalpurpose vibration testing and analysis, aforce proportional to the vibration, responding to wide range of research andtesting applications. The signal conditioners provides a singlemainframe, a variety of input and outputchannels, and different filter options tomake the system highly customizable.
