Cos’è un’idea?Tutto... Nulla.
What is idea? Everything... Nothing.
L’idea nasce all’improvviso.L’idea viene da lontano.
The idea comes all of the sudden. The idea comes from the past.
I vuoti e i pieni
definiscono i volumi
della leggerezza.
Insieme generano
i confini di un
complesso organico
e funzionale.
Full and empty spaces define volumes of lightness.
Together they create
the bounderies of an organic
and functional complex.
Il materiale.
Un intreccio di fili annodati tra loro attorno ad uno spazio vuoto. La rete quasi un elemento sensibile che occupa lo spazio senza invaderlo.
The material. A twist of threads bounded together around an empty space.
The Mesh, like a living element that fills the space instead of invading it.
La struttura. Rigido metallo piegato al progetto.

La correlazione tra struttura e materiale individua la funzione.

La sedia. Un piano orizzontale fornito di spalliera e di sostegno.

La struttura è dinamica.Si modifica, si accorcia, si allunga, cambia sviluppo e forma.
The structure is dynamic....it changes, it gets shorter or longer.
La poltrona.The armchair.
Il pouf.

La rete è un vuoto limitato da un pieno appena accennato; la struttura è
un metallo piegato dall’essenzialità del progetto.

Attraverso il corpotraspare la luce.
Light shines trough the structure.

Luce soffusa e morbida.Suffused and soft light.
Potente e significante.Strong and full of meaning.
Lampada. Lamp.

Ma la luce cambia l’aspetto.

Il mobile diventa lampada e la lampada assume la forza di mobile.

La vita di un oggetto ricomincia quando muore.Il ciclo si chiude, lo spirito del cradle to cradle è rispettato dando all’oggetto una nuova valenza.

giving new value to the object.
Il metallo torna metallo, la rete torna filo da tessere e la luce illuminerà altro.
