Priority Outcome Action Planning

I. Discuss

Set the stage for the team where the focus of the session is…. 1. To choose a specific Priority Outcome

either a specific challenge, opportunity or project.

2. Select two relevant Q12 items.

3. And to craft an Action Plan thatattacks all three.

Slide 34

34

Priority Outcome Action Planning

II. Select

1. Choose the Priority Outcome – the challenge, opportunity, or project on which your Team will focus.

2. Use the Q12 Survey Results to pick two questions most relevant to the selected business-related outcome

3. Divide the team into two sub-groups with each sub-group focusing on one of the two Q12 items.

Slide 35

35

Priority Outcome Action Planning

III. Plan – Instructions for Each Group

1. Brainstorm barriers to engagement for their chosen element (i.e. why wasn’t the score on the chosen engagement element higher?). The barriers should be relevant to the business outcome they selected.

2. Brainstorm potential action items to attack the these barriers.

3. Choose the two best action items.4. Modify the two selected action items so that

they meet the SMARTS criteria.

5. Repeat monthly

Slide 39

Special Situations for Action Planning

We’re going to open the phone lines now!

There will be a slight pause, and then a recorded voice will provide instructions on how to ask questions over this conference call line.

We’ll be answering questions in the order that we receive them.

We’ll also be answering the questions that were emailed to us during the presentation.

If there’s a question that we can’t answer, we’ll do some research after this session, and then email the answer to all participants.
