Savan Park It’s strategically located along the Route No. 9, stretching along part of the East West Economic Corridor(EWEC). It’s approximately 3 kilometers from Thailand’s border and 5 kilometers away from Savannakhet International Airport.
EWEC had been designed by both United Nation and ASEAN countries for global economy development. It stretches 1,450 kilometers, commencing from Danang Port in Vietnam, cutting through Savannakhet Province in Lao PDR, right through Thailand and terminates at Mawlamvine Port, Myanmar.
EWEC has been shorten the existing global sea routes by 3,000 nautical miles (5556 KM) or 10-day sea journey from east to west and vice versa. This is an enormous saving of freights and times for all investors along the EWEC region.

Prime Minister Decree 177
● It is normal/common practice in Lao PDR, whereby, all approved free trade zones shall carry a set of PM Decree bearing their specific reference number approved by the Prime Minister.
● As for Site C (Savan Park), PM Decree 177, approved by H.E. Bounnyang VORACHITH, former Laos Prime Minister, on 13th November 2003. This Decree being designed to regulate the planning, management and promotion for both domestic and foreign investments within the Park.
Protection of Rights & Interests of Investors ● All lawful assets, investments and all related interest of investors within the Park are fully protected by the laws and regulations of Lao PDR and as well as by the International Conventions/Agreements, of which, Lao PDR is the co-signatory, and shall not be requisitioned, confiscated nor nationalized. (Article No. 13, PM Decree 177)
One Stop Service (OSS) facilitates by Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZA)

● Processing of investment license, registration of business enterprise, import & export licenses of investors are taken care of by the One Stop Service Bureau set up by the Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZA). The investors do not have to visit any of Lao’s Ministerial Departments for the afore-said applications.
● This One Stop Service policy, it assists, especially, foreign investors, by saving up unnecessary intangible cost and obtaining more investment protection, privileges and incentives.
FOREIGN INVESTMENTS
● Foreign investors are allowed to wholly own in all type of approved investments in Savan Park (Article No.9 , PM Decree 177).
INVESTMENT LICENSE● SEZA shall be responsible to issue positive or negative feedback for the investment license application within 5 (five) working days. (Article No. 17, PM Decree 177)
LAND LEASE TENURE
● Foreign investors are allowed to lease land within Savan Park with a maximum of 75 years tenure (with 12 years as rebate), the land use right is sub-leasable and extendable. (Article No. 29, PM Decree 177)
Profit & Personal Income Tax
Company Profit Tax Holidays (Chapter III, PM Decree 177)
● Investors within the Park enjoy 2 to 10 years tax holidays on profit tax, clocking from the declared profitable year. Profit tax ranges from 8 % to 10% to be levied upon the expiry of the tax holidays. (with regard to the respective business category)
Personal Income Tax ( Article No. 25.7, PM Decree 177)
● Personal income tax subjects to only 5% tax for both local and foreign employees within the Park. Double taxation agreement being signed with most ASEAN countries.
Repatriation of Company Profit & Personal Income● Upon remittance of tax obligations, all profits and incomes are allowed to be repatriated to their country or third country through any Lao PDR registered banks without any restriction. (Article No. 31, PM Decree 177)
Customs Duty of Imported Merchandises●The merchandises / commodities, (which are imported for the purpose of re-exportation) necessary supplies, office supplies, according to procurement lists, shall be exempted from custom duties. All required construction materials for factory construction are also exempted from customs duties. (Article No. 26, PM Decree 177)
Exports of Manufactured Products●All manufactured products and merchandises for export to foreign countries, are also exempted from export customs duties and any other duties throughout the entire licensed investment period. (Article No. 26.6, PM Decree 177)
