SAPERION Web Client
Sending e-mail
+ Until now it was not possible to e-mail documents from within the web client.
+ Now there are two options:
+ Applet: Sends the document as a link, attachment, or PDF; works with Outlook.
+ Mailto: Sends the document as a link only, works with any e-mail client and has no active
components on the client; requires the web service in addition.
+ Depends on exporting rights
+ Several elements can be sent as a ZIP (mandatory with MAILTO)
+ PDF function is available only if a rendering engine with the ability to convert all
formats contained in the elements has been configured.
SAPERION ECM 7.5 - Product Updates 20
SAPERION Web Client
Update
+ Until now, importing a customer's unique configuration after an update was:
+ prone to errors
+ largely manual work.
+ New: The standard configuration and the customer's own configuration are kept
separate.
+ Two configuration directories: config and custom-config
+ Parameters in custom-config overwrite parameters in config.
+ Parameters that are no longer used are ignored in custom-config.
+ Any parameters not present in custom-config are read from the standard configuration.
+ No more conflicts after an update; only custom-config must be copied back into the
application.
+ web.xml now contains only container-specific settings (servlets, filters, session
configuration, etc.).
+ This must still be done manually.
+ Later: configuration server

to more than 50 groups.
+ The limitation has been raised to 150 groups.
+ Expanded Unicode capability for user management
+ Supports all writing systems, including Russian, Arabic, Chinese, and others.
+ We recommend this primarily for new installations because, after conversion, user
management is no longer backwards compatible.
+ Optimized start-up of the Java Core Server
+ Caching of the configuration for even faster restarts
+ Changes can be executed during runtime.
+ Easy in the MMC via "Update system files" (DDCs are updated)
