Heavy rain caused flooding in the central areas of Ireland. Limerick, Athlone, Castleconnell,Ennis, Corofin, Gort, Roscommon, Belturbet, Claremorris, Ballinasloe and Portumna arehighly affected. Sandbags were distributed in some of the flood prone areas.The present map shows the flood delineation in the area of Roscommon (Ireland). Thethematic layer has been derived from post-event satellite image using a semi-automaticapproach. The estimated geometric accuracy is 10 m CE90 or better, from native positionalaccuracy of the background satellite image.
