With the participation of 358 repre-sentatives from the engineering and production areas at cement manu-facturers in Latin America and the Caribbean, and from the main tech-nology and service suppliers for the cement industry around the globe; in 2013, the Technical Congress FICEM-APCAC con�rms its leadership as the main meeting platform in Latin Ame-rica for the exchange of technical in-formation relevant to the cement in-dustry. Colombia’s Cementos Argos, Peru’s UNACEM and Guatemala’s Cementos Progreso were awarded for their outstanding presentations on sustai-nable practices, these companies in-troduced innovative approaches for CSR models including environment-friendly technologies and initiatives to enhance the welfare of neighbo-ring communities in the region.

FICEM extends its gratitude to the Peruvian cement industry, represen-ted by ASOCEM, for the valuable sup-port in the organization of this event; equally, the Federation thanks UNACEM for opening its doors at the Atocongo factory and having its at-tendees visiting their plant on the last day of the Congress.

FICEMWith an all-times attendance record, FICEM celebrated the XXXth edition of its Technical Congress in Lima, Peru.
