Mound Groundwater BasinMound Groundwater Basin• Much of the basin lies within the boundaries of
the City of Venturathe City of Ventura• Has been an important source of water supply

• Today, approximately 60% of water extracted from the Mound Basin is for agriculture use, and remaining 40% is for municipal use

• If potential archaeological/paleontological resources are discovered, work will halt until further assessments are conducted to determine the significance of the findings
