Preface
Dear colleagues, dear friends,
On behalf of the scientific organizers, Olivier Chazouillères, Josep M . Llovet, Darius Moradpour and myself, I would like to cordially invite you to the Falk Symposium 199 entitled ”High-lights from Hepatology 2015“ . At that meeting, internationally leading experts of their respective fields will provide an update on current state-of-the-art and novel developments in Hepatology . Topics range from acute and chronic viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease, alcoholic and metabolic liver disease, liver cirrhosis and its complications to liver cancer .
In the tradition of the successful Falk Symposia, the program combines basic science with clinical relevant aspects . Thus, this translational update on pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment therapy of the most important and clinical relevant liver diseases will be of interest to both, clinicians and scientists .
A special invitation is extended to young clinician scientists who can present their work in the poster sessions and will surely benefit from fruitful discussions .
We are looking forward to welcoming you for two days of excellent presentations, interesting discussions and social contacts in the wonderful city of Freiburg in the Black Forest .
With best wishes on behalf of the scientific organizers,
Robert Thimme, Freiburg
