Pulitzer Prize-Winning Photo #1

• This photo won the Pulitzer Prize in 2010. This photo is worthy of the prize because it includes various types of photo categories within one picture. It shows the action of the man pulling someone out of the water. This photo also gets the shot of a relationship because a man is reaching out his hand to help someone out of the water.

Pulitzer Prize- Winning Photo #2

• This photo won the Pulitzer Prize in 2013. This photo is worthy of the prize because it has a center of interest and shows action, reaction, emotion, and a relationship. The center of interest is the boy and a dead body in his arms. The action is the boy holding the dead body and the reaction is the boy holding onto the dead body tightly while in tears. The emotion is the boy crying over the dead boy and the relationship is shown between the boy and the dead body showing that they knew each other because he’s crying that the boy’s dead.

Framing

The poles and the top of the trampoline frame my sister jumping in the center of it

Angle

I took the picture from a side angle behind a man playing guitar to show his point of view

Rule of Thirds

The heads of the dogs are both intersected at the at the center lines of the box

Get The Shot: Action

This photo gets the shot of an action of a girl throwing a ball and it is taken at an angle to show her point of view

The center of interest of this photo are the flowers that the boy is holding. He’s holding it over his face so the picture will only be focused on the flowers

The railings of the staircase lead to the center of the stairs where a girl is standing

This picture shows a pattern of different colored paintbrushes. The pattern is kind of broken towards the end when both of the paint brushes are facing up
