Sharpen the Saw

Wrap-up

• Be proactive– Don’t complain, organize yourself!

• Begin with the end in mind– Define your roles– Start thinking about a mission statement

• First things first– Work towards ‘quadrant 2’ time– Plan on a weekly basis– Don’t forget to sharpen the saw

Final practical advice

• Covey is meant to help you organize– Not to make you over-accelarate– Go about things at a pace you can manage… in a

lasting way– Don’t be too rigid

• It helps me to plan in an interactive tool– Google calender, Outlook, etc.– You can change things a little as you go, and keep

track of what you actually did. – That helps for future planning.

Final practical advice

• One of my tutees just told me that tracking his internet time using ‘Rescue Time’ helped him to keep check of the time spent on ‘non-efficient’ activities.– http://rescuetime.com/ref/360722

Thanks for listening

Now organize!
