The thesis will study recent progress in OTN, including OTN switching capabilities.Performance of a pure packet switched network shall be comparedwith the performance of an OTN switching based network. The performancecomparison will be performed on a proposed network scenario. Performanceresults shall be found using discrete event simulation.
