ANORDINANCEAMENDINGORDINANCENO.2003-15ESTABLISHINGNEWANDREVISEDBUILDINGPERMITSANDFOROTHERPRUPOSES

Whereas the City of Ozark has established a more comprehensive and modern set ofbuildingpermitfeeswhichareinlinewithIndustrypractice;and

WhereasitisnecessarytoamendpreviousordinancesrelatingtopermitsandpermitfeesforconstructionwlthintheCityofOzark,

BEITORDAIANEDBYTHECIYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOFOZARK,ARKANSAS,THAT:

Fromandafterthepassageandapprovalofthisordinance,anyperson,partnership, firmorcorporation responslble for commencing or engaging In the construction, addition,fencing,buildlng, re-roofing,putting instoragebuildingsordriveways, replumbing,orre-wlrlngofanybuildingorstructure,ofanykindornatureInsidethecityilmltsofthecityofOzark,Arkansas,shallapplyforandobtainabuildingpermitfromthecityclerkofthecityofOzark:andpayafeetherefore.

n.Thechargeforsuchpermitshallbebasedupontheusedesignationandinaccordancewiththeattachedfeeschedule.

Twenty-four-hournoticeisrequiredforallinspections.it shall be unlawful for any person, partnership, firm or corporation, including non-profit

organizations, partnerships, or firms, to fail to obtain such permits or show proof ofinsuranceasprovidedherein,andanyperson,partner,firmorcorporationviolatinganyprovisionoftheOrdinanceshallbedeemedguiltyofemisdemeanorandsubjecttoafineofnotlessthan$100.00normorethan$500.00.

If any person, partnership, firmor corporation fails to display their permit on the buildingsite,thecityinspectorshallorderthatallconstructionceaseuntilapermltisdlsplayed.

VI. ThecityinspectorofthecityofOzarkshallmaketheInspectionscontemplatedherein,VIE.Aftertheexpirationofsixmonthsfromthedateofthe initialpermit, ifconstructlor is

notcompleted,anadditionpermitshallbeappliedforandobtainedfromtheCityofOzark,howeverthereshallbenoadditionpermitfeefortherenewalapplication.

Vill. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, andspecificallyordinance1991-7,1991-11,1991-13,and2003-15areherebyrepealed. Shouldanysectionorprovisionofthisordinancebeheldvoidorinvalid,foranyreason,itshallnotaffectthevalidityofanyothersectionorprovisionherein.x. Itbeingnecessaryforthepreservationofthepublichealth,welfare,peaceandsafety,this

ordinanceshallbeinfullforceandeffectiveImmediatelyuponitspassage.
