Reliability: A Change
Agent
As asset is something that has actual or potential value to an organization.
Asset management is a coordinated set of activities to deliver that value.
Reliability enables that value delivery. Leading organizations recognize
that performance is delivered through an engaged and empowered
workforce that aligns reliability objectives to delivery of business
objectives.
Join Terrence O’Hanlon to explore a value-focused framework for
reliability leadership that can be articulated to all stakeholders from the
executive level to the equipment level across typical functional silos.

Personnel
Some say that 80% of projects fail because of people-related factors. How
do you implement successful transformations when the odds are against
you? In addition, how do you leverage people-related factors to
accelerate acceptance and maximize ROI? Potash Corporation, the largest
producer of crop nutrients by capacity in the world, is successfully
changing the way 5,000+ people work in 16 operating sites located in
different countries. In this session we'll present Potash Corporation’s

Extending the Line of

Boardroom
For asset intensive industries, the budget for maintenance of assets is
significant, and is often larger than the profit margin of the business.
Despite this significance, maintenance is usually under-represented and
under-recognized by executives in the boardroom. This session will
discuss the many ways that maintenance impacts board-level issues
related to business investment, productivity and risk management.
Included in the session will be a case study showing how Alcoa Inc. is
focusing on the budget process from both a long term strategic

Practices with an
Oracle Health Check
With time, the needs of a company change, business processes change,
leadership changes and external factors like regulatory requirements cause
change. When products get installed, a company does not remain static --
change occurs but neither products nor processes can adapt to the new
changes without perspective. Over time, the product can get further and
further behind until it doesn’t meet the needs of the company or is
underutilized. Maybe the product wasn’t a perfect fit for the original
requirements or was implemented at the end of a project when funding
and resources were running short. Perhaps the users were only taught
what they needed to do their job and aren’t aware of the product's other
capabilities. Or maybe the company is challenged by success and needs to
increase throughput or protect its brand. Whatever the cause or the
challenge, an Oracle Health Check can help customers leverage more of
their Oracle solutions to achieve their goals. Join this session to hear how
customers have performed an Oracle Health Check to optimize their use of
Oracle eAM.

Leveraging Oracle
Enterprise Asset
Management in a
Highly Regulated
Environment
Leveraging Oracle E-Business Suite, Arkansas Oklahoma Gas created a
solution that tracks distribution integrity management (DIMP) critical items
from cradle to grave. The project was a blend of Oracle software and
databases, SQL server and reporting services, custom .NET applications and
middleware, and ESRI software. Utilizing Oracle’s Inventory and Enterprise
Asset Management modules, Arkansas Oklahoma Gas built a mobile data
collection suite that allows it to collect geospatial information on work
order items, record resource time and mileage, and document other work
order-specific data points. For DIMP, they needed to not only know what
parts they used and where they put them but also who manufactured
them plus their lot numbers. Using Oracle technologies as change agents
helped them accomplish these objectives.
