Finding reliable translation resources in sufficient quantities has always been crucial in our industry. The requirements for vendor management continue to change as companies incorporate new technologies such as machine translation and shared translation memory environments. Translation resources have to be made available in greater volumes, faster and more precisely. The vast improvement in the quality and the reduction in cost of online collaboration technology is leading LSPs to redesign their production workflows to remove unnecessary steps from their processes and therefore challenging the traditional approach to vendor management as we know it. Cecilia presents three customer scenarios and describes how she addressed vendor management requirements.
