SAOU VAT HANDE MET SKOLE

OH-LÀ-LÀ! NIKS IS ONMOONTLIK NIE!
Het jy gehoor van die SAOU se nuwe #10DegreeChange projek? 2020 is dalk JULLE skool se jaar vir die positiewe verandering waarop julle gehoop en van gedroom het. Wat beteken die hutsmerk #10DegreeChange? 10 trappe, 10 grade. Die simbool van HOOP gekoppel aan die BELOFTE dat, wanneer ons glo en vertrou op uitkoms, dat dit moontlik is. Wanneer skool-realiteite ons soms platdruk, kom die antwoord in die vorm van 10 trappe se skaduwees. Lees gerus Hiskia se verhaal in 2 Konings 20 vers 1-11. Soos vir Hiskia kan dit ook vir jou skool “genade-jare” wees. Indien jy meer oor dié 10 grade wil lees, volg die gesprek op #10DegreeChange. Net 10 grade kan die verskil wees in die oorlewingstryd van julle skool. ‘n Klein rigtingaanpassing is dikwels die verskil tussen hoop en wanhoop. Wat behels die projek? SAOU gaan gedurende 2020 in 9 skole (een per provinsie) belê. Noem dit ‘n vorm van PAY-IT-FORWARD. SAOU nooi alle SAOU skoolhoofde om te registreer vir die #10DegreeChange projek. Dit is ‘n projek waar SAOU die daad by die woord gaan voeg, terugploeg in ons skole en waarde toevoeg tot onderwys. Die SAOU is gereed om onderwyskwessies wat skole lamlê, aan te spreek. Wat is die keuses? Skoolhoofde kan NOU hul skool registreer en daarmee aansoek doen om SAOU ondersteuning en opleiding ter waarde van R20 000. Hierdie projek is slegs geldig vir 2020. Die drie geïdentifiseerde fokusareas is:
(1) personeel, (2) skoolbestuur of (3) beheerliggaam.
Skoolhoofde word versoek om te let op die volgende terme en voorwaardes: 1. Slegs ‘n skoolhoof wat lid is van die SAOU mag ‘n skool registreer. 2. Aangeheg tot hierdie kennisgewing, is ‘n elektroniese registrasievorm. Klik op die skakel wat u sal neem
na Google Forms. Vul asb die vorm in en klik op die submit knoppie – dit sal u registrasievorm direk aan SAOU stuur. Elektroniese registrasies moet die SAOU teen Maandag, 2 September om 22:00, bereik. U Provinsiale Sektretaris, sal in oorleg met u provinsie se Voorsitter van u Dagbestuur, die registrasies deurwerk. Die wen-skool sal bepaal word volgens die motivering wat u ingedien het.

3. Die 9 gelukkige skole wat sal kwalifiseer vir deelname se name sal op Woensdag, 4 September op SAOU Facebook-blad, SAOU webwerf en die hoofdesimposium toepassing bekendgemaak word.
4. Slegs een skool per provinsie word gekies. 5. Deelname is gratis.
Die SAOU #10DegreeChange-belofte:
1. Gedurende 2020 gaan al 9 wen-skole gratis ondersteuning/opleiding ten opsigte van u geïdentifiseerde knelpunt/behoefte ontvang.

SAOU JOINS HANDS WITH SCHOOLS

OH-LA-LA! NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!
Have you heard of the SAOU’s new #10DegreeChange project? 2020 might be the year of positive change that your school has hoped for and dreamt of. What does the hashtag #10DegreeChange mean? 10 steps, 10 degrees. A symbol of hope linked to the promise that, when we believe and trust in the outcome, it is possible. When the reality of our school is sometimes depressing, the answer often comes as 10 steps’ shade. Read Hezekiah’s story in 2 Kings 20 verse 1-11. This could also be “grace-years” for your school. If you want to know more about the 10 degrees, follow the conversation on #10DegreeChange. Only 10 degrees could be the difference in the struggle for survival at your school. A small change of direction is often the difference between hope and despair. What does the project entail? During 2020 the SAOU is going to invest in 9 schools (one per province). Let’s call it a matter of PAY-IT-FORWARD. SAOU invites all principals to register for the #10DegreeChange project. With this project the SAOU takes action, invests in schools and adds value to education. The SAOU is ready to address education issues that paralyse schools. What are the options? Principals can now register their schools and be eligible for SAOU support and training to the value of R20 000. This project is only valid for 2020. The three identified focus areas are:
(1) staff, (2) school management or (3) governing body. Principals must note the following terms and conditions:
1. Only a principal who is a member of the SAOU may register a school. 2. Attached to this notice there is an electronic registration form. Click on the link that will take you to
Google Forms. Complete the form and click on the submit button – your form will be sent directly to the SAOU. Electronic registrations must reach the SAOU by Monday, 2 September at 22:00. Your provincial secretary and the Chairman of your Standing Committee will work through all applications. The winning school will be determined by the motivation that you have submitted.

3. The names of the 9 lucky schools, that will qualify for participation in this project, will be announced on the SAOU Facebook-page, the SAOU website and the Principals’ Symposium App on Wednesday, 4 September.
4. Only one school per province will be selected. 5. Participation is free of charge.
