Working order
Note
2 Working orderThis chapter describes the working order for the installation of Nokia UltraSiteSupport.
To complete the installation of the Support, proceed in the followingworking order:
1. Complete the site planning according to the specifications provided inNokia UltraSite Support Requirements for Installation and Operation.
2. Prepare the site for installation and complete the site survey.
3. Ensure the proper installation tools and equipment are onsite.
4. Unpack and inspect the contents of the Support delivery for any visibledamage. Refer to Unpacking and Inspecting the Support Delivery for moreinformation.
5. Check the completeness of the cabinet delivery using the packing list.
If the contents of the cabinet delivery are damaged or missing, immediately reportthese findings to your local Nokia representative.
6. Store the packing list in the site folder.
7. Install the cabinet core to the base (Indoor cabinet) or plinth (Outdoorcabinet).
8. Install the cabinet application kits to the cabinet core.
9. Route external cabinet interface cables to the cabinet.
10. Install plug-in units and any optional units to the cabinet core.

11. Connect the cables of the plug-in units and route according to the cabinetconfiguration.
12. Complete the installation checklist and place in the site folder.
13. Commission and integrate the Support. Refer to Nokia UltraSite SupportCommissioning.
14. Complete the Support commissioning and integration checklists and placein the site folder.
15. Recycle the packing material.

3 Support delivery contentsThis chapter identifies the contents of Nokia UltraSite Support transportationpackage.
The Support transportation package contains the following:
• cabinet delivery
• unit delivery
3.1 Cabinet delivery contents
The cabinet delivery includes the following:
• a Support cabinet core for the Indoor or Outdoor cabinet (CRMB), withADUB and BATA backplanes pre-installed
• a cabinet application kit (IAKA or OAKA)
• cable kits (optional)
3.1.1 Cabinet core
The cabinet core houses the plug-in units and temperature control system. Thecabinet application kits define the type of cabinet delivery (Indoor or Outdoor).
Figure 1 illustrates the cabinet core of the Nokia Ultrasite Support Indoor andOutdoor.

3.1.2 Support cabinet application kits
Indoor Application Kit
The Indoor Application Kit (IAKA) consists of the following modules:
• a door
• a roof
• required mounting hardware (feet)
Figure 2 illustrates the modules of the IAKA with the cabinet core.

Outdoor Application Kit
The Outdoor Application Kit (OAKA) consists of the following modules:
• a plinth for one cabinet
• a back wall
• two side walls
• a door frame

• a door with a preinstalled Cabinet Cooling fan
• a roof
• required mounting hardware
You can also install an optional Heater unit (HETA) in the OAKA door.
Figure 3 illustrates the components of the OAKA with the cabinet core.

3.2 Unit delivery contents
The ADUB is the only unit pre-installed in the cabinet. For instructions on howto install units, refer to Nokia UltraSite Support Unit Installation and Cables.

Where required, cable kits accompany the units in the Support transportationpackage. For instructions on how to route unit cables, refer to Nokia UltraSiteSupport Unit Installation and Cables.
3.2.1 Common items
Nokia UltraSite Support configurations contain the following common units:
• AC / DC unit (ADUB) (pre-installed)
• either six or twelve BATA rectifier units (BATA backplanes pre-installed)
• up to three battery trays in the basic cabinet, or four in the battery extensioncabinet
3.2.2 Additional items
The Nokia UltraSite Support Outdoor cabinets can also contain the followingunits:
• LTED box, enclosure for up to 4U height of customer equipment
• LTEE box, enclosure for up to 10U height of customer equipment
• Standard Equipment Kit (SEK) A (19”, 6U). These can be installed aboveeach other to create up to 18U space capacity.
3.2.3 Options
The following are options for the Nokia UltraSite Support Indoor and Outdoorcabinets:
• Over-Voltage Protection (OVP)
• Battery heater matt (HETB)
• earthquake accessories

Unpacking and inspecting the Support delivery

4 Unpacking and inspecting the Supportdelivery
This chapter describes how to unpack and inspect the contents of the Supporttransportation delivery packages.
A basic cabinet core as delivered weighs 74 kg (164 lb) approximately.Lifting the cabinet core requires a minimum of two installation personnel!
To unpack and inspect the cabinet delivery:
1. Lift the cabinet core from the transportation package.
2. Remove the cardboard and plastic wrapping from around the cabinet core.
Do not place the Support in a vertical position when removing from thetransportation package. Place the Support on the packing material in a horizontalposition.
3. Remove the desiccant packs.
4. Inspect the cabinet core for any visible damage.
5. Unpack and inspect the contents of the cabinet kit for any visible damage.

6. Check the completeness of the cabinet delivery using the packing list.

5 Installation tools and equipmentThis chapter describes the equipment Nokia recommends for installing themodules and cables of the cabinet and plug-in units.
Table 1 lists the European and US specifications for standard tools and equipmentyou will need during installation of the Nokia UltraSite Support.
Nokia does not include the tools and equipment in the Support delivery package.
