NEEDLE DETECTION PROCEDURE

PART :I

1.0 mm diameter test card supplied with unit

Needle Detector Calibration Card (NDCC) are used to calibrate the machine

Sensitivity level must be adjusted over 50

Garments pass through the detector before packing (using two needle detectors)

Factory uses two needle detector to scan front and back garment

When the alarm sounds the garment must be put to one side in a clearly marked area, and a designated operator must check the

garment for contamination

All of contaminated garments must be put into the Contaminated box before hand

held detection

Use hand held detector to locate contamination on the garment

Passed garments must be kept in a identified area inside metal free zone, and proceed to packing after pass next calibration for needle detector

Any broken and blunt needle must be logged in the garment defected records for

contamination

Missing broken needle/metal/sharp tool policy (4 steps)

Use small/big magnet device to check whole working area, on surface, inside machine and on the ground in place with radius around 1 meter.

Step 1

Use handheld detector to check whole doing operation of the panel and the bundle

Step 2

Pass panel/ bundle through metal detector. Share information to Finishing manager of the issue.

Step 3

In case, broken needle is unable to be found, needle controller make report, inform to General director/AQM/Pro Manager/Finishing manager. Record of contamination. Keep the piece in RED BOX. Finally, give new needle to sewer with correct size and type of needle.
