OUTDOOR EXHIBITIONS
It was one of the main priorities this year to develop outdoor and downtown exhibitions, in order to enhance the relationship between the festival and the local community. These 3 outdoor exhibitions have been such a success that they will continue to be on show till the end of December.

This exhibition presented a selection of the results of the 2oo8-2oo9 Anjali Photo Workshops. We also celebrated the official launch of the first Anjali Photo Book « Cambodia, our Vision ».

7 Evenings of Slideshows
Consistent with the festival’s mission of highlighting emerging Southeast Asian photographers, more than 6o of the 11o exhibiting photographers this year were from Asia.
The work was curated by two well-known figures in photography, Yumi Goto and Antoine d’Agata (Magnum), as well as by Françoise Callier, the Program Coordinator of the Angkor Photo Festival.

Angkor Photo Workshops
For the sixth consecutive year, a photo workshop taught by renown photographers was offered to 3o young photographers from 15 different Asian countries.
Coordinator : Roland Neveu Tutors : Antoine d’Agata (Magnum Photo) assisted by Ying Ang and Sung Hoon / Patrick de Noirmont (News-Pictures.com) assisted by Andrea Star Reese / Olivier Nilsson
The results of the Angkor Photo Workshops were presented as slideshows at the FCC Angkor on the closing evening of the Angkor Photo Festival.

PHOTO PRIZE
Each year, as part of the Angkor Photo Festival, we award a young Asian photographer for the best reportage produced during the Angkor Photo Workshops.

Former students of the Angkor Photo Workshops supervised photography workshops for the children of Anjali House.

Each year, as part of the festival, a special day for the children of Siem Reap is organized at a pagoda, where the program includes a slideshow of the results from this year’s children workshop, and other performances..

Street Studio at the Hip Hop Club
For two nights during the Angkor Photo Festival, we opened a photo studio where everybody could have his portrait taken by professional photographers. The HipHop is one of the most popular haunts of young, fashionable Cambodians in Siem Reap.
Thanks to everyone could bring home their photographs, which had been printed on the spot using Canon’s Selphy printers.
