1. Drillers Edge Drift Pin Tool (part# 100666) for removal and installation of ½” diameter Latch Retracting Pin.

2. Drillers Edge Drift Pin Tool (part#100877) for removal of ½” diameter Latch Pivot Pin.

3. Hammer

4. Socket wrench, socket 9/16” (14mm), extension 4” (100mm).

Step 1: Remove spearhead point and base by driving out ½” x 2” spring pin – use Drillers Edge drift pin tool 100666.

Step 2: Use 9/16” (14mm) ratchet, socket and

extension to remove 3/8” Nyloc bolt, washer and spring

Step 3: Remove ½” x 2” spring pin using drift pin 100666, move latch retracting case to lower position, swing latches out and remove links.

Step 4: Remove latch retracting case.

Step 5: Using drift pin 100666 remove ½” x 1 ½” spring pin and remove link latches.

Step 6: Seat latch retracting case, place spring into slot and mount latches together

Step 7: Holding latches and spring together, insert Edge Latches (entering on an angle) as shown into the base of the upper latch body.

Step 8: Position latch retracting case as shown and use drift pin 100877 to align latch pivot holes.

Step 9: Hold drift pin 100877 in position during hammering to avoid jamming. Spring pin slot is best in downward position to avoid latch pivot hole damage during loading

Step 10: Latch pivot spring must be centered in upper latch body to avoid jamming of latch retracting case.

Step 11: Seat latch retracting case, fold in Edge Latches and use drift pin 100666 to align and install new ½” x 2” latch retracting spring pin – slot down.

Step 12: Install spearhead point and base using drift pin 100666 to align and install latch retracting spring pin.
