Since 23 of August, a forest fire has been burning in Lindow between the towns ofTreuenbrietzen and of Jüterborg, spreading quickly overnight to engulf 400 hectares.Authorities advised residents of Berlin, Potsdam and neighbouring administrative districts tokeep windows and doors shut due to smoke. More than 500 residents were evacuated toemergency shelters on 24 of August as the flames threatened to engulf three villages.The present map shows the fire delineation in the area of Lindow, Germany. The thematiclayer has been derived from post-event satellite image by means of visual interpretation. Theestimated geometric accuracy is 5 m CE90 or better, from native positional accuracy of thebackground satellite image.
