• Alle Antikoagulantien erhöhen infolge ihres Wirkungsmechanismus stets auch das Blutungsrisiko
• Dieses Blutungsrisiko besteht so lange, wie der Patient das Medikament einnehmen muss
• In höherem Lebensalter steigt das Blutungsrisiko weiter an
Was bedeutet das für die Praxis?• Für ältere Patienten sind Antikoagulantien
keine gute Alternative - wegen des höheren Blutungsrisikos
• Für jüngere Patienten sind Antikoagulatien ebenfalls keine gute Alternative, weil- das Blutungsrisiko kumulativ ist und jüngere
Patienten länger leben
