1. Runspeakerwirethroughhousingtopandoutbottomandattach

toKlipschICspeaker.SeeICowner’smanualfor70voltor8ohm

wiringdirections.

3. FastenbytighteningthefourPhillipsscrewsindicatedThespeaker

frame’s“dog”legswillswiveloutandsecurethehousingand

speakertogether.

2. InserttheKlipschICspeakerassemblywithattachedwiringinto

thependanthousingbottomopening.

4. Attachthethrees-hooksattachedtothethreesuspensioncables

tothethreeholesatthetopofthependanthousing.

5. Threadbareendofthe9.5footdropcablethroughonechannel

ofthefastlinkwirejoiner,throughoraroundtheceilinganchor

point,thenbackthroughtheoppositechannelofthewirejoinerto

connectthecableandlockitintothejoiner

6. Threadthebareendofasafetycable(notincluded)throughone

channelofasecondwirejoiner(notincluded),throughorarounda

differentceilinganchorpointthenthroughtheoppositechannelof

thewirejoinerused.Attachitseyeletintoacarabiner,s-hook,etc.

(notincluded)andattachedtothespeakerseismictab.Makesure

thesuspendedspeaker’sweightisheldentirelybythedropcable.

7. Wrapspeakerwireuparoundthedropcableandconnecttosource.

Connectsafetycabletonearestsuspensionwireanddropcable

usingtwistorziptiesforaestheticappeal.Ifdesired,encasedrop

cablewrappedwithspeakerwireandattachedsafetycableina

plasticconduit.

INSTALLATION

Aspeaker’ssensitivityspecificationgivesyouitsSoundPressureLevel

(SPL)outputatonemeterwithonewattinput.Theaccompanying

illustrationshowshowyoucandetermineSPLoutputatagiven

distancebasedonthefollowingconstantsthatapplytosound:

1. EverytimeyouDOUBLETHEPOWERinputtoaspeakeryou

increaseitsSPLby3dB.

2.EverytimeyouDOUBLETHEDISTANCEfromaspeakeryoulose

6dBofSPL.
