GOAL

Increase the numbers of students attaining Advanced level of proficiency in Japanese language by grade 12, who continue on to achieve Superior proficiency in college.

or Novice High/Intermediate Low

New opportunities:Summer Institute in Sapporo

6-week Summer Institute in Sapporo following sophomore or junior year

Preparation in Research and Exploration course.

Presentation in Capstone Project course.

New opportunities: web 2.0 Utilize emerging technologies to extend Japanese

language and culture learning beyond the classroom. (Blog, Skype coaching, Social networking, etc.)

3 credits will be offered through proficiency-based Japanese online modules. Can Do tasks Topic driven Small groups Blended Asynchronized
