BACKGROUND
Jaguar Land Rover is proud to have been Presenting Partner
for The Invictus Games since its inception in London 2014.
We provide financial backing for the Games and a
commitment to furthering the legacy of support to the armed
forces by helping former military personnel transition into
civilian careers through job opportunities.
The huge difference the Games has made to rehabilitation
continues to inspire and encourage injured, wounded and ill
servicemen and women.

EX-SERVICE PERSONNEL RECRUITMENT
• Jaguar Land Rover has recruited more than 1000 ex-service men and women since it
pledged its support to the 2014 Invictus Games.
• Since 2015 more than 30 service personnel have participated in the ‘Inspiring Tomorrow’s
Workforce’ and ‘Wounded, Injured and Sick’ (WIS) programmes with 75 per cent of these
finding roles at Jaguar Land Rover. Many others have gone on to find jobs in our supply
chain and wider industry.
• In 2017 a new programme to train and recruit up to 180 veterans across the company’s
North American and Canadian retail network was launched.
• In 2018 JLR Australia started a partnership with Ironside, a veteran recruitment provider.

• We have encouraged those employees eligible for the Games to compete over the years
• We have proudly supported eight employees directly on their Invictus Games journey,
with three competing at the Invictus Games Sydney 2018
EMPLOYEE PRIDE & MOIVATION
• The Pledge video was first created to support Jaguar Land Rover’s sponsorship
of the Invictus Games Orlando 2016
• The video features JLR employees (some of which are ex- services) pledging
their support to the competitors of the Games
• JLR updated the Pledge for the Sydney 2018 Games to further show our support
to those competing

FUTURE MOBILITY & INNOVATION
• We used Invictus Games Sydney 2018 to lead and inform the debate on future mobility, and how its future technology
could help peoples’ lives.
• Past & present competitors tested our level 4 autonomous SUV on public roads
• Part of the UK Autodrive Consortium to address technical challenges posed by urban environments including pedestrians,
cyclists, security and infrastructure.
• This feedback, along with others that are part of the research programme will help Jaguar Land Rover understand how
autonomous technology could improve the lives of millions of people living with limited mobility
• Removing mobility barriers that exist today could enable extraordinary people to achieve extraordinary things –
embodying the spirit of the Invictus Games.
