Preparation & Communication
A high quality data migration from STIDistrict to InformationNOW, is essential to a successful implementation.
One of the most significant factors impacting the quality of the data migration is the current state of the data.
Since each school has their own STIOffice database, it’s important to review the data prior to the conversion.
STI provides a tool that accomplishes this review and identifies areas that may need attention prior to the data conversion.
This tool is called the Pre-Processor.
Data Conversion
Pre-Processor Example 1
Pre-Processor Example 2
Pre-Processor—Duplicate Contacts
Important Note: Logic built into conversion routine to automatically consolidatecontact records, IF the following condition exists: If the name matches exactly, AND, the address or phone number matches.
Pre-Processor—Advantages
1) Pre-processor output may be generated multiple times.
2) Allows districts to use transition to cleanse data.
3) Cleaner data from conversion results in more effective training.
