• Most drawings created by architects are now typically

produced on computer aided design systems: (CAD)

Drafting 2 - Architecture

• In this class students will learn the techniques

Involved In creating architectural drawings for

construction of single story ( 1 floor) residential

buildings/spaces.

the layout of

windows and doors,

and provide details

in regard to

dimensions,

electrical and

plumbing fixture

locations as well as

flooring materials.

drawings that show drawings that show

the way the house

will look when

viewed directly from

one of the four

sides.

Elevations are

usually referred to

as North, South,

East and West

Elevations.

Drafting 2 - Architecture

• In this class students will use CAD to draw:

– Foundation Plans:

Foundation Plans

are used to show

builders how to builders how to

construct the

support structure for

a building.

Slab foundations

and crawl

foundations will be

discussed for this

class.
