Is it Good or Bad?

• Conflict can be very disruptive and destructive.

• Conflict presents an opportunity to: – Serve others – Grow as a person – Glorify God

AH CONFLICT, WHAT AN

New View. New Mindset.

At the Heart of Conflict "What causes fights and quarrels among

you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?" (James 4:1-3)

“I Desire” – Conflict begins with some kind of desire.

“I Demand” – unmet desires can work themselves deeper in our hearts. Especially when it is something we feel we deserve.

“I Judge” – We are inclined to judge others when we have an idol in our heart. “I Punish” – When others fail to satisfy our demands, our idols demand that they suffer.

At the Heart of Conflict is an Idol

HAPPY “FIGHTING” Changing our mindset about

conflict, changes our ways of dealing with conflict.

Conflict presents us with opportunities to grow, serve others and glorify God.
