Over 600 children from several of the Integrated Patashalas run by the Sri Pratyaksha Charitable trust of the Sri Matham were brought together for a weekend at Kānchi. The ladies of the Sri Kamakshi Srividya Samithi orchestrated the event to perfection, hearing the children through meals and organising the events. The laughter and enthusiasm that resounded in the Great hall this weekend is unsurpassed. The events began with a prize distribution. Four students were selected from each Patashala for academic excellence, discipline, all round performance/sports and excellence in culture studies. The Jagadguru gave an exquisite anugraha bhashanam with a shloka reference for each specialised Integrated Patashala of learning and brought its importance to light.
