CHEMDRAW DOWNLOAD for new installations (for v 17 and higher)

Go to Cambridgesoft/Perkin Elmer subscription website…

You can download an earlier version, or download v17 or higher… example here is v18!

Click on the bottom link

This will take you to the Perkin Elmer registration site.

… and scroll down to find Smith

At the Perkin Elmer Registration site…Create your own account (if you don’t have one already) …or sign in to your

account

Once logged in, under Latest Version, choose the most recent version (highest number) if there are multiple options

For the Windows version, find “ChemOffice Professional” and click the cos18.2.exe (or similar) link on the right.

Leave this browser window open, you’ll need it again in a minute!

Find your downloads folder and look for the file with a name like cos18.2.exe and open it.

Say OK to extract the package…

Click Next at the welcome screen...

Now the installer will ask you to activate.

To get your activation code, go back to the Perkin Elmer website and click on Order History.

The activation key will be on the bottom right of that order page.

Copy and paste the code into the ChemDraw Installer Window that appeared asking for it, then click Activate in that window.Click the order with the most recent Order Date.

Scroll to the bottom of the license & then click “I accept”

and Next…

Choose a Default installation & click Next…

Click Next to accept the defaults for any other packages the software recommends (ChemScript and/or

Python)…

Finally! Click Install…

When complete, there should be a shortcut on your desktop to open the software. Enjoy!
