Structure of MMPI in the AMAESD

School teams attended a 5-day training of trainers in August ( all schools participated).

ESD staff also attended the training and are available to assist with training sessions in local schools.

Getting Explicit About Reading (GEAR)

Purpose: Strengthen schools’ current Response to

Intervention framework Provide training, resources, and support in

diagnostic reading assessment and explicit comprehension instruction K-8

Expected Outcomes: Common language in regards to diagnostic reading

assessments and comprehension instruction Consistency in instruction, intervention, and data

Purpose

To scope and sequence new Common Core State Standards (CCSS) K-12

To develop Learning Targets in student friendly language

To align CCSS with current GLCEs and HSCEs

ESD Consultants facilitate teachers through process with uniform templates

AMA ESD creates curriculum documents for 2011/2012 school year
