Principal’s report
Excursion Fun
Over the past two weeks I have had the pleasure of
accompanying the Stage 2 and 3 children as they
participated in two wonderful excursions. Stage 2
thoroughly enjoyed their day at Borambola last week,
learning skills in archery, fencing and BMX riding! This
week the Stage 3 children spent 3 days travelling to
Bendigo, Ballarat and Echuca. Once again they had a
fantastic time and had many wonderful opportunities
ranging from going down a mine, panning for gold,
viewing the amazing ‘Blood on the Southern Cross’
show at Sovereign Hill and riding a paddle steamer at
Echuca – just to name a few. My congratulations to all
students attending, for their fantastic attitude,
participation and behaviour. Thank you to Mrs Bostock
for her huge efforts in organizing both excursions; and
to Mrs Davis, Mr Baldock and Mrs Gleeson who gave
up their time to accompany the Stage 3 children and
ensure they were well cared for. Some wonderful
photographs are included in today’s newsletter.

Ngumba-dal Student Art Exhibition
Next Friday and Saturday, 14 and 15 November, Junee
residents will be treated to a wonderful art exhibition
at the Athenuim. Students from our Ngumba-dal
Learning Community (Junee North, Junee Public, Illabo,
Eurongilly and Junee High) will display a selection of
their art and craft works completed throughout the
year. A selection of wonderful pieces completed by
Junee North students will be on show for children,
parents and community members to view. The
exhibition will be open Friday 15 from 9:00 am – 4:00
pm; and Saturday from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. A huge
thank you to Merrin Glasgow from Junee High school
for her tremendous efforts in coordinating this event –
don’t miss it!!
CSIRO Show
Next Thursday 14 November our students will be
treated to a fantastic interactive science ‘Seeing the
Light’ show run by CSIRO Education. These shows are
always thoroughly engaging where our students
become the scientists not just the audience. A
reminder that permission notes and money need to be
in by next Wednesday 13 November.

Indigenous Art workshops
Several of our indigenous students were given the
opportunity to learn some weaving and painting
techniques during a series of workshops hosted by
Junee High School. Our thanks to the ladies who
conducted the sessions, and a huge thank you to
Merrin Glasgow and to Junee High for allowing Junee
North to access such a wonderful opportunity.
