Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) was present at the Sembcorp
Marine Group booth in Offshore Technology Conference - OTC
2015, May 4-7, in Houston, Texas, United States.
During this year edition, EJA was the main theme of the reception
organized by Sembcorp Marine Group in the Asia Society Texas
Center. At the event, the guests had the opportunity to watch the
institutional video "We Are One", which presents a concept of unity
of the Group Shipyards around the world and a new corporate
positioning.
In addition, EJA was a sponsor of the "1st Brazilian Partnership
Gathering in Houston", on May 04th, which promoted the
meeting of key partners and a discussion about Brazilian market
opportunities. During the meeting, General Director of National
Petroleum Agency (ANP), Magda Chambriard, spoke about the
Brazilian Oil and Gas scenario.
Considered the largest specialized Oil and Gas event in the world,
OTC brings together a large number of different nationalitie’s
companies, with a new technologies showcase, disseminating
knowledge and providing opportunities for new business.

Maritime 2015 Award
On February 19th, the hull of the rst drillship to be built in
Espírito Santo docked at the quay of Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz
(EJA). The hull was built at the Sembcorp Marine Group
shipyards in Singapore. Since its arrival the activities began
to get the DRU Arpoador vessel ready on time.
Among them, the construction, installation and testing of
derrick, living quarter’s modules and helideck. There also
have being made installation and testing of cranes, facilities,
propellants, navigation and dynamic positioning systems,
power generation, sea trials and integration testing of all
systems.
At time of the arrival of the DRU Arpoador, EJA was visited by
the State Development Secretary, José Eduardo Faria de
Azevedo and the Foreign Trade Under-Secretary, Mayhara
Chaves, which were received by EJA HSE Manager, Lani
Tardin.

EJA Floating Crane
EJA receives the largest oating crane in Latin America
Arrived to capixaba land, on March 10th, the largest oating
crane in Latin America. The equipment belonging to Estaleiro
Jurong Aracruz (EJA) was built to be used in the drillships
construction for the pre-salt Brazil and FPSO platform modules
integration. With dimensions of 140 meters high, 110 meters
long and 46 meters wide, the crane has four hooks of 900 tons
each, 3,600 tons lifting capacity.

About 30 entrepreneurs of Associação Movimento Empresarial de
Aracruz e Região (AMEAR) visited EJA on February 25th. The
group was welcomed by representatives of Communication, HSE,
Procurement and Engineering teams. After the presentation of
EJA demands, occurred the visit to Shipyard works and facilities.
Mr Wong Weng Sun, Sembcorp Marine’s President & CEO, received the Offshore & Marine Engineering Award from Guest-of-Honour Mr Lui Tuck Yew, Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Defence, during the awards ceremony and gala dinner.

On February 24th, Federation of Industries of the Espírito Santo (FINDES) promoted an institutional presentation and the demands of Statoil's products and services, with the presence of representatives of 20 companies of Espírito Santo.
Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) was represented by HR Manager Lucila Lopes and Communication Coordinator Francisca Selidonha. The Statoil Group based in Brazil also present in 34 countries and does Oil exploration in Peregrino eld at Campos/RJ and soon it will operate in Espírito Santo Basin.

March 27th, an institutional presentation
for Rede Petro, about the work progress,
products and service demands.
At the event, EJA was represented by EJA
procurement employees Gustavo Lemos,
Vanessa Silva and Laura Mandriola with
Communication support.
With the objective to rescue the attractiveness of
Fundão and value the diverse landscapes based
on diagnosis and intervention proposals, the
Integrated Management Project (PGI) of
Fundão seashore launched an illustrated
information brochure on April 29th.
The event was held at Hotel Praia Grande
auditorium aiming inform public and private
entities about the project, coordinated by
Central Única das Favelas of Espírito Santo
(CUFA-ES) in Fundão.
The project had the EJA support and was one of
the eight projects approved trough Company
Notice.
A group of 16 entrepreneurs and directors of Federation of
Industries of Espírito Santo (FINDES), which are part of the
Program for Suppliers Development (PDF), visited on March
26th the works of the EJA. Before the visit, the group attended
a institutional, the products and service demands. The group
was welcomed by the Communication, HSE, Procurement
and Engineering teams.

HSE Manager Lani Tardin received Port Authority representatives,
including Captain of Sea and War Marco Aurélio de Arruda,
Sergeant Anderson Carvalho Gonçalves and Captain-of-Corvette
Douglas Vincent Hemerly, to present EJA work progress and
operations. The presentation was held on March 11th.
Subsequently they visited the quay where DRU Arpoador hull is
anchored and the breakwater.

Councilmen visit EJA
Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) was awarded with the
"Prêmio Ecologia 2014," for the work "Acquisition and
Restoration of Degraded Areas of Restinga, within the
conservation area 'APA Costa das Algas', in Enseada das
Garças, Fundão/ES".
Considered the most prestigious award at the
sustainability area in ES, the award recognizes works in
the environmental aspect, which contribute to Espírito
Santo socio-economic and cultural development.

The councilmen of the Municipality of Aracruz,
Carlos André Franca de Souza, Paulo Neres, Carlos
Alberto Vieira and Chairwoman Rosane Machado
visited the works of Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA)
on March 27th. The group was welcomed by the
Communication team with the support of EJA
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) team.
Anti-Corruption Seminar for employees
Aiming to inform and raise awareness to EJA employees, was
promoted by HR and Legal teams, the Anti-Corruption Seminar held
by Legal Consultants, Fernanda Fauze and Felipe Ferenzini, on
March 26th and 27th.
Issues included the Institutional Policy and Anti-corruption Laws in
order to encourage legal practices and ethical conduct inside and
outside the company. Managers, engineers, technicians and analysts
attended the training.

New trainees batches in Singapore andEstaleiro Jurong Aracruz
The third batch of 30 students and three teachers from IFES of the
Naval and Offshore Technology Training Program of Estaleiro Jurong
Aracruz (EJA) had departured to Singapore, on January 4th. The
group was selected from mechanical, industrial automation,
electromechanical, electrical engineering and metallurgy areas.
In addition to training at Ngee Ann Institute and at Group shipyards,
the students get intense course of technical English during three
months.
On February 28th, the second batch of 27 trainees, qualied by the
program, returned to Brazil and is already working in EJA activities.
