Dinmore station accessibility upgradeProject update – June 2016

Project progressThe following construction activities were recently completed:

installation of new light pole footings excavation and concrete pours for new

footbridge and lift foundations trenching and conduit works.

Upcoming worksIn the coming weeks, the following activities are planned:

scaffolding installation construction of temporary access ramps

between the platforms and carparks relocation of go card touch on/touch off

pedestals to align with temporary ramps foundation works for new light poles commence construction of lift shaft walls and

footbridge support columns.

Temporary changes – Mason Street bus zoneTo enable construction works at the Ipswich end of platform 2, temporary changes to the road conditions at the Mason Street bus zone will occur.

The bus zone will continue to operate and Mason Street will remain open to traffic.

Customers, pedestrians and motorists are advised to follow all directional signage while these change traffic conditions are in place.

Excavation works have begun at Dinmore station to allow for the new footbridge and lift foundations. This upgrade is being undertaken as part of Queensland Rail’s $212 million station upgrade program.

Construction impactsCustomers and residents adjacent to Dinmore station may experience:

noise associated with heavy machinery use of reversing beepers mobile lighting towers changed traffic and parking conditions increased vehicle movements around the work

zone.

Residents and other stakeholders will be given advance notification of construction activities likely to cause impacts, including after-hours work (nights and Sundays, if required).
